Why do sweaters pilling?
Sweaters generally have the problem of pilling, and even the best sweaters can have some pilling problems if worn for a long time. Why is it easy for sweaters to have pilling?

1. Raw material factors: The higher the quality and fineness of wool raw materials, the denser the surface scales, the better the curliness, the softer the hand feel, but easy to entangle and pilling.
2. Different fabric structures (such as flat needles, ingots, and double ingots) and densities (loose or tight) can also cause varying degrees of pilling. The National Technical Supervision Bureau’s pilling test is based on weaving different yarn specifications (counts) into specified density specifications. Samples of the organizational structure are placed in a pilling box for testing within a specified time, and then evaluated for grade.
3. When wearing, contact with different objects (smooth, rough) can also cause varying degrees of pilling, and areas such as sleeves and bag openings are prone to pilling due to frequent friction.
4. Technically speaking, if the twist is too loose, the yarn will be more round and full, but it is more prone to pilling. Conversely, if the twist is too tight, it will lose the style of the yarn, like a rope.
